what happened to the importance of customer satisfaction???
RIght now im damn damn pissed off.. recently i had problems with my 10mbp singnet connection and called their helpdesk a few times to solve my problem. The issues had been resolved but i was subjected to TERRIBLE customer service. The telephone operators did not sound like chinese nor malay.. they had a hard time trying to understand my english.. im very sure my english is not incomprehensible. Usually when u call in they would say tt at the end of the call u would be redirected to a customer survey..there was once when i called in.. i got so pissed off with the operator that i had to raise my voice. i had to call in twice and kena-ed the same operator.. how lucky.. nonetheless the problem was solved in the end. so i waited for the operator to direct my call to the SURVEY. i was shocked!
not chinese/malay operator: ok we can end the call
sT: ok ( still holding on)
not chinese not malay operator: you HAVE TO hang up
sT: i tot im suppose to do a survey?!
not chinese not malay operator: we have to end the call.
sT: no im not hanging up.. I WANT TO DO SURVEY!
not chinese not malay operator: ok pls hang on (sounding damn reluctant)
i cant remember the exact words of the survey but overall i gave the worse rating tt i could give. SUPER PISSED OFF !
And today.. i check my singtelshop purchase online as im suppose to get my airy blue sony ericsson z610i tmr!.. BUT FARK! they disapproved my order WTH.. cos i did not fax in my student pass as i applied for the student plan..
theres an option where i have to acknowledege, it goes like this..
If you are holding one of the following passes, please fax a copy to 68410373.
1. Employment Pass with a validity period of 12 months.
2. Work Permit/Social/Dependent Pass/Passport with validity of more than 6 months
3. Student Pass
i mean its grped tog w employment pass work permit and whatnot so I would naturally think that the student pass is like the foreign student's student pass or wad ma.. zzzz
therefore my purchase got cancelled as i did not fax in my student pass!!!!!!!
they did not inform me or anything.. i was contemplating to call them a kp and decided to go ahead haha though i wasnt sure if i reaalli wanted the phone.. maybe old sky is trying to tell me tt i shouldnt waste money..
I waited for damn long on my Hp before i could speak to an operator.. she was neither chinese nor malay.. and had the same problem as the previous operators.. CANNOT UNDERSTAND simple english..
I was damn impatient having waited for like 20 mins. I explained to her tt my purchase was cancelled and i was not able to enjoy the 50 bucks off the price of the phone.. she asked me to hold on for like another 10 mins..
den came back after checking my order
operator H: the promotion is stil on u just have to resubmit my order..
sT: I can no longer enjoy the 50 bucks off.
operator H: yes its still on u go to the website .. go here click this click that
( i was alrdy at the singtel page la c'mon)..
sT: NO theres no more promo..
operator H: .. yes there is u go to this this and that that.. 100 bucks off for k610i

sT: i wanna lodge a complain against an operator who spoke to me 10 mins ago and cut my call w/o redirecting me to the survey
nice operator: ok sure.. what time did u call and wads the no. of the phone u used to call
sT: 9XXXXXXX... are u able to trace who is the operator who spoke to me?
nice operator: oh yes pls give me a min.

apart from calling to complain i decided to send an email to them LOL..
To whom it may concern,
On 30/10/2006 between 820-835pm, I called in to 1626 to enquire regarding my purchase on singtel shop that was cancelled. A phone operator by the name of Hamidah took my call. She took a long time trying to understand my problem and there were miscommunications regarding the details involved. She took quite sometime to check out the details of my purchase but to my disappoint, she got my phone model wrong and insisted that the promotional rate was still effective. She even insisted that i had receive a sms informing me on the cancellation which apparently was not the case. I had to repeat myself umpteen times to make my point. At the end of our conversation, I was expecting a survey to be put through as this was stated at the beginning of the call. To my horror, my call just ended abruptly and I was greatly taken aback.I truly hope that the matter would be looked into as I always had the impression that singtel provides the best customer service with their well trained staff.
no need to take biz com one lor.... oso can complain.. from the bottom of my heart la fark!
